Sugar Caddy Privacy Policy
This policy covers Sugar Caddy and its ChatGPT integration. OpenAI operates ChatGPT under its own terms and privacy practices.
Information we handle
- Account information: email, display name, sign-in identifiers, account status and account-access and terms-acceptance records.
- Search region: your chosen suburb, town or postcode and its regional centre are saved for local searches. We do not ask ChatGPT for your GPS position or street address. ChatGPT uses a saved reference and region label.
- Buying information: requests, budgets, search areas, saved listings, photos, feedback and buying decisions.
- Listing information: source links, listing identifiers, titles, asking prices, descriptions, photos and other details retrieved for your buying task.
- ChatGPT connection information: your authenticated connection, tool requests, search status and discussions you explicitly ask to save.
- Usage and support information: service usage, costs, errors, security records and support messages you send us.
How we use information
We use it to sign you in, carry out requested searches, maintain your buying workspace, return results to ChatGPT, account for usage, respond to support requests, diagnose problems and secure the service. A connected member account cannot access another member's private workspace.
Service providers and external sources
We use Supabase for application data and sign-in, Vercel for hosting and workflows, Cloudflare for shared photo storage where enabled and support-email forwarding, and listing providers such as ScrapeCreators for Marketplace discovery and listing details. Optional analysis features send the relevant buying and listing information to AI providers through Vercel AI Gateway or direct connections.
When you connect Sugar Caddy to ChatGPT, OpenAI receives the listing details, photos and other results returned for your requests. Sugar Caddy receives your authenticated tool requests and any discussion you explicitly ask to save. Support email is forwarded to the Sugar Caddy operator's monitored inbox.
Storage, retention and deletion
- Accounts: account records remain while your account exists. Account-deletion requests are handled through support.
- Saved buying work: saved listings, details, discussions and decisions remain until you delete the Buying Item or request deletion. There is no automatic expiry for saved Buying Items. Deleting an item removes its exclusive saved content; information also used by another item or a shared source cache can remain.
- Photos: the existing private photo cache expires photos after 91 days without access or 365 days after capture, and can remove them earlier when its storage limit is reached. Shared photo copies, where enabled, remain protected while an active or favourite Buying Item needs them. They become eligible for daily cleanup 30 days after their last protected reference is removed. Source-hosted photos can disappear sooner.
- Usage, security and support records: there is no fixed automatic expiry for these records. We assess deletion requests against unresolved support issues, accounting and security needs. Minimal deletion records remain to prevent deleted buying work from being restored by an older device.
Your controls and contact
You can delete Buying Items in the application once active work has finished. For access, correction or account/data-deletion requests, email support@sugarcaddy.ai. We may need to verify account ownership. See Support for help.
Security
We use authenticated accounts and server-side access controls to keep buying workspaces separate. Normal ChatGPT connections do not grant administrative or internal-testing access.
Changes
We update this policy when our data practices or user controls change.
